They are flexible and they bend and flex with the movement of the engine.

Being reinforced with a braided or spiral-wound layer they provide extra strength and resistance from collapsing or kinking.

They come in a variety of sizes, ranging from small diameter hoses used in fuel injectors to larger diameter hoses used to transfer fuel between the fuel tank and engine.
